The Web-based Performance Planning and Reporting System (PPRS) provides access to information about the Cooperative Extension Service Integrated Pest Management and Pesticide Safety Education efforts at land-grant universities by providing descriptions of the program plans and accomplishments online. This system provides information on a state's program as a whole, and describes in more detail key areas of program activities. In particular, key indicators are provided that measure progress towards program objectives. As a result, PPRS ensures that Extension activities supported by the program are consistent with overall goals. PPRS also helps CSREES and other program stakeholders understand the scope and impact of the IPM and PSEP programs being conducted. PPRS is divided into planning and reporting periods. In FY 2000 IPM coordinators developed their five-year state Plans of Work for IPM activities. In 2001, they began providing Annual Performance Reports relating to these plans. Because of the transition of the Pesticide Applicator Training (PAT) Program to the (PSEP), the PSEP Coordinators developed their five-year state Plan of Work of Work in 2001 and started reporting in 2002. |
